The shoppers needed a Tom Adwar strike to seal the win and put his team in the driving seat ahead of second leg set for Oct. 28

Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta believes that they still have what it takes to win the second leg of the promotion/relegation battle against Nakumatt FC.

The shoppers won the first leg by a solitary goal scored in the first half by Tom Adwar to hand the hosts an advantage. Kenyatta is however, adamant that his team will bounce back in a week's time and get the result it needs to progress.

“It is not over for us; we have the second leg which we will do everything to overturn the deficit. It is a chance for us to fight back and get a result we need for promotion, so I cannot say that we have lost it. Yes, it is disappointing that we lost the match, but it is still in our hands.

“We will have to work harder at Kasarani and ensure we utilize our chances, that is the only way we can win it,” Kenyatta told Goal in an interview.

Ushuru needs two goals to win 2-1 on aggregate and get promoted to KPL.
