Things are going south fast for bottom-placed Malaysia Super League (MSL) side Kelantan. With five rounds remaining in the league and their seven-point gap from safety, they are now set to lose the services of one of their defenders for two matches.

On Wednesday, the Disciplinary Committee of the Malaysian FA (FAM) announced that a number of MSL and Premier League players will be suspended for their violent conduct in recent matches.

Kelantan right back Khairul Asyraf Ramli has been punished with a further two-match suspension for his violent behaviour against Kedah's Andik Vermansah in their league match on June 8. The 23-year old was shown a second yellow card and sent off for his conduct late in the match, and received an automatic one-match suspension.

PDRM defender and JDT II winger Fazly Mazlan too faced similar punishment for an incident that had taken place in the JDT II-PDRM Premier League match on June 8.

An altercation between the two that then turned physical resulted in their sending off and one-match automatic suspension, and the two will now be suspended for two more matches for the incident.

UKM FC's Alif Jamaluddin and Terengganu FC II's Hassan Basri too have been handed two-match suspensions, for an incident involving them in the Terengganu II-UKM match on June 20.

Both of them had also received an automatic one-match suspension following the match.

The suspended players cannot appeal against the decisions, the committee stated.
