The Tottenham striker has been prolific at club level since making the breakthrough at White Hart Lane.
He has collected back-to-back Golden Boots in the Premier League, with a 29-goal haul in 2016-17 seeing him net at a rate of one every 87.28 minutes.
Kane had, however, endured a barren run with his country which stretched back to before Euro 2016.
575 - Harry Kane has scored his first goal for England since May 2016, after a run of 575 minutes without one. Timely.— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) June 10, 2017
Kane’s last goal for England came in a friendly clash with Turkey in May 2016.
He now has six efforts for his country, having come to the Three Lions’ rescue against Scotland.
Despite taking the lead in a 2018 World Cup qualifier at Hampden Park, Gareth Southgate’s side fell behind to a quick-fire free-kick brace from Leigh Griffiths.
Kane has shown himself to be a deadly finisher down the years, though, and all he needed was one sight of goal in stoppage-time to ensure that the game ended all square.
