Former Ghana international Samuel Johnson believes the Black Stars' chances of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup are all over.
Kwesi Appiah's charges' hopes of playing at a fourth successive World Cup hit a snag on Friday folowing a 1-1 home draw with Congo.
After matchday three, the Black Stars sit a lowly third with just two points, five and four marks adrift of Uganda and Egypt on first and second places respectively.
“Ghana can’t qualify and that is all," Jonson said on GH One TV.
"This mathematics will not work. It is over for Ghana.
“If Ghana qualify, then they have to go to church and roll themselves on the floor.
"The only way Ghana can make it is when something happen to the two countries [Egypt and Uganda] and they decide not to continue with the rest of the games.”
The Black Stars play away to Congo on matchday four on Tuesday.
The four-time African champions drew 0-0 with Uganda in the Group E opener before succumbing to a 2-0 away defeat to Egypt.
