John Baraza ready to tap into Melis Medo's expertise at Sofapaka

John Baraza will use the presence of Melis Medo at Sofapaka to improve his coaching skill, the former Kenyan international revealed.

Baraza was demoted to the assistant role following the arrival of the American tactician from Nakumatt.

“It is great to have a chance to work with a top coach like Melis. I have been learning and I believe I will learn a lot from the head coach. It is going to be exciting working with him,” Baraza told the club official

Medo took over the team with the aim of returning the team back to glorious days after Batoto Ba Mungu once again missed a silverware last season. Sofapaka last won the league title in 2008.

But the former Sofapaka striker who took over from Sam Ssimbwa lasts season on an acting capacity after the Ugandan quit in May following a strings of poor performances.

Baraza guided Sofapaka Shield Cup final where they lost to Kariobangi Sharks and a fifth finish in the Kenyan Premier League.
