FC Pune City stayed back in India to prepare for the 2018-19 edition of the Indian Super League (ISL).
Under Ranko Popovic, the Stallions reached the ISL playoffs for the first time ever but lost out to Bengaluru FC in the semi-final. Former Delhi Dynamos head coach Miguel Portugal has taken charge at the Pune-based club for the fifth season of ISL and he has an improved squad to better last season's finish in the league.
As part of their preparations, Pune City are currently in Goa to take part in the AWES Cup (The Association for the Wellbeing of Elder Sportspersons).
