Inter Allies out to compound issues for ailing Ashanti Gold

Inter Allies midfielder Samuel Bekoe believes his side will defeat visiting Ashanti Gold in matchday 12 of the Ghana Premier League at the El Wak Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Both clubs have had a terrible start to the season but the visitors are in a worse situation. They are rock-bottom on the log with only eight points and are yet to win a game since their former coach Bashir Hayford tendered in his resignation a fortnight ago.

Allies, on the other hand, sit 13th with 13 points and are hoping to push their way up to avoid a repeat of last season, when they needed a draw on final day against Aduana Stars to survive.

“We are doing everything possible to win this particular game against Ashanti Gold. It is an important game and we have to pick the three points,” Bekoe told Ghanasportsonline.com.

“We have not been able to record a win in our last three matches so we are taking this game very seriously. Ashanti Gold are strong side and we are aware of what they can do on a good day. However, we are prepared for them. We will definitely win to worsen their ailing campaign to save ours,” he added.

Ashanti Gold new manager C.K Akunnor will be playing his first game in charge after joining his former club from Dreams FC this week.
