How Schlupp felt on facing old club Leicester City

Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp has spoken about last weekend's meeting with former club Leicester City in the Premier League.

The Ghanaian lasted 69 minutes as the Eagles held the reigning champions to a 2-2 stalemate on Saturday.

Having progressed through Leicester's academy system, Schlupp played for the Foxes' senior outfit from 2011 until January this year when he joined Palace on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

"It was a bit strange seeing all the boys before the game and there was a bit of banter from them but once the game started it was just another game," Schlupp said, according to the Croydon Advertiser.

"It was nice to see the old boys after the game - we shared a point so everyone went home happy.

"It's definitely another point in the right direction.

"We were 2-0 down against a good team like Leicester who have had good form recently so for us to come back from 2-0 down to get a point is a positive.

"We feel like we conceded some sloppy goals and we created chances, but it's another point - we'll take the positives out of the game and go again."

Schlupp, who scored once in 24 appearances as Leicester won the league last season, has so far made 10 outings for Palace.
