Hearts of Oak communications director Kwame Opare Addo has declined to shed light on reports linking goalkeeper Ernest Sowah to the club.
The 28-year-old mutually terminated his contract with rivals Asante Kotoko this week, after falling down the pecking order and reports suggest he is heading for Accra to join the Phobians for the rest of the season.
"We can't say much about a player who's not officially ours. We've heard the reports being circulated in the media but I don't know if anything about his future with us has been decided as at now," Opare told Goal.
"We've released one of our goalkeepers so obviously, several other players will be linked to replace him but we will announce who the fortunate one is very soon.
"Sowah is a very good goalkeeper and everyone in this country is aware of his talent since he was previously with the Black Stars. We want quality goalkeeper and the supporters will be happy who finally joins us before the second round of the season starts," he added.
Sowah was part of the Black Stars squad that finished as runners-up at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea.
