Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr tells new signings: You will have to fight to play

K’Ogalo have already roped in Shafik Batambuze and Kenneth Muguna as they strive to beef up the squad for next season

Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr has welcomed new signings Shafik Batambuze and Kenneth Muguna saying they will add depth to the team.

Batambuze signed a two-year deal, one less than Muguna, who opted for a three-year contract with the defending champions. Kerr has however, warned over expecting a smooth ride in the team saying they have to show they deserve a place in the squad.

“I welcome both of them, they are good players with experience and that is a plus to the team. It will give us more depth in the busy 2018/19 season; I am glad they have accepted to join us.

“It will not be a walk in the park for them, they have to work hard and fight for their place in the team. It is not going to be easy for them, they have to show that they are the best to deserve a position in the team,” Kerr told Goal in an interview.

K’Ogalo are also in the market for Sofapaka midfielder Dennis Odhiambo, former youth player Cliff Nyakeya, who turns out for Mathare United and Rayon Sports striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana.
