K’Ogalo coach reveals admiration for the Harambee Stars striker saying he was keen to sign him for the champions this window

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has admitted that he sanctioned the club to sign Allan Wanga in the on-going transfer window.

The much travelled Wanga, is currently attached to Kakamega Homeboyz, and the Briton coach has revealed to Goal that he was among the players he wanted the Kenyan champions to sign ahead of the new season.

“I asked my club to go for Wanga. He also wanted to come but I was told he is tied to Kakamega on and off the field. I first held talks with him, then asked my chairman to speed up the transfer but it could not work because he is tied to the Governor in Kakamega.”

Asked why he had decided to go for the services of Wanga, who has also played for AFC Leopards and Sofapaka in the Kenyan league, Kerr responded, “He is Kenyan and he is very different to what we already have in the striking area hence the reason I wanted him to come.”
