Desperate to bounce back from their embarrassing 4-0 defeat at Everton, Manchester City will be hoping that Sergio Aguero is in top form when he takes on his favourite Premier League opposition on Saturday.
Considering he has struck 11 times in 13 league starts for Pep Guardiola’s team this campaign, even money (2.00) may seem tempting on the 28-year-old scoring anytime in this one.
However, given that Spurs boast the best defensive record in the competition and have conceded just twice in the last three encounters between the teams, better value may be had at the other end of the pitch.
Having found the net six times in his last four appearances to make it 13 goals in 16 league fixtures, Harry Kane looks like a strong bet at 6/4 (2.50) to get on the scoresheet against a defence that has conceded six in their previous three fixtures.
While those two may dominate the headlines in attack, both enjoy the services of some of the best creative supporting cast in the division.
Playing in behind Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne and Nolito can both be backed at 13/8 (2.63) to hit the back of the net in this one, while new signing Gabriel Jesus is available at 15/8 (2.88) to mark his debut with a goal.
Meanwhile, Dele Alli’s recent hot streak in front of goal has seen him fire seven times in his last five league appearances, making odds of 5/2 (3.50) appear very generous on him scoring for the second game this season against this opposition.
Similarly, Christian Eriksen is sure to attract plenty of interest at 10/3 (4.33) anytime odds considering he has scored five goals in the last nine Premier League games, setting up many more for his teammates.
