Goa Super Cup ready for kick-off


The countdown has begun for the fifth season of the Goa Super Cup which will run from 9 - 13 May. The tournament will see Indian youth between the age of 10 years to 17 years representing their academies and schools for the coveted trophy across six categories.

A total 50 teams will participate in boys' U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 age-groups and girls' U-13 and U-15 age-group. 

The tournament will again see representation from several Indian cities like New Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nasik, Surat among others. Four teams from Dubai will also fly down for the Goa Super Cup.

Sajid Khan, Head of Teams' Acquisition, said, "We are excited to see new teams signing up for GSC Season 5 as much as I am happy to see our regular patrons return for this year's edition.

"As in every year, we are trying to enhance the Goa Super Cup experience in all respects so as to ensure that each and every person involved - be it a player, a coach, a parent, a team's school Principal or a football academy's promoter gains something out of it. The overarching goal is to contribute to the progress of football in India." 

Hemant Zende, Head of Tournament Operations, said, "We are bringing more efficiency into the tournament this year. I am happy that we also have some new natural grass grounds in terrific shape. This is going to inspire the kids to give their best on the pitch and make it a glorious event."  

The tournament recently launched its website  and announced Nivia as the official equipment Partner. Enerzal will be the hydration Partner and Supernova Hospitality & Events will be hospitality Partners.
