Gilbert Selebwa, AFC Leopards' Team Manager', admits that the result affected his charges considering it is a match they wanted to win. "It is the biggest match in the country, and it is a game everyone wants to win.

“That defeat had to hurt, we were targeting maximum points as well as the bragging rights, but it did not happen. It is a defeat that we have not taken lightly but we have to move on and ensure we bounce back with positive results in our forthcoming matches,” Selebwa told Goal.

As it stands, Ingwe has to do better in the Shield Cup to stand a chance of winning silverware this season.
