Ghana’s Black Queens to jet in for friendly against Kenya's Harambee Starlets

Harambee Starlets have been pooled in Group B of the 2018 Awcon competition to be staged in Ghana from November 17

Harambee Starlets will continue with their preparations for the Awcon finals when they face Ghana in a friendly on Wednesday.

The Black Queens are expected to arrive in Kenya on Sunday at 3.45pm ahead of the build-up match set for Kasarani Stadium.

Football Kenya Federation have confirmed in a statement obtained by Goal, “The Ghanaian women team, the Black Queens, is set to jet into the country on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at 3.45 pm ahead of their friendly against Kenya’s Harambee Starlets.

“This is in preparation for the upcoming Africa Women Cup of Nations set to be held in Ghana between November 17, and December 1, 2018, in Ghana. The friendly match has been slated for Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at the Kasarani starting 4 pm.”

Starlets, who are pooled in Group B alongside Zambia, South Africa and Nigeria, are scheduled to face Zambia on November 18 in their opening match hoping to do better than they did two years ago in Cameroon.
