Chemelil Sugar have vowed to get maximum points in the sugar derby as they strive to stay away from facing the axe

Chemelil Sugar will be away against their fellow sugar millers Sony Sugar at Awendo on Saturday.

The former will be targeting maximum points that will boost their survival hopes in the top tier considering the fact that they are third from bottom with thirty-one points. Coach Francis Baraza is aware of the task awaiting his side and he has promised to go for nothing short than a win.

“We are aware of the situation we are in right now, it does not give us room to slip up; a win is what we want, it will work for us. It has never been easy against them, Sony, but we have been preparing for them the whole week and I believe we will get maximum points.

“The remaining matches are just like a final to us, we need to win them and ensure we get out of that danger zone,” Baraza told Goal.

Two teams will automatically be relegated with the sixteenth placed side playing a playoff match to determine its fate.
