HARAMBEE STARS COACH SEBASTIAN MIGNENICK MWENDWA

FKF boss Nick Mwendwa issues rallying call to fans ahead of Kenya, Ghana Afcon clash

FKF president Nick Mwendwa has called on Kenya fans to turn out in large numbers and support Harambee Stars when they take on Ghana, even as he stressed that not a single act of hooliganism will be entertained.

Stars will host Black Stars in an African Cup of Nations qualifier at the 60,000 sitter Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.

Mwendwa has assured fans of adequate security adding that there will be a heavy deployment of both the police and private security personals, in and around the stadium.

“We have prepared adequately. The players are upbeat and raring to go and I’m confident that we will get a positive result. Come along with your families. We have made arrangements for ample security and will see to it that unruly fans are apprehended.”

Mwendwa joined Stars coach Sebastien Migne, who had told Kenyan fans to throw their weight behind the national team.

The French coach challenged Kenyans to show their patriotic side by painting Kasarani red, and even propsed that local fans should only put on the red jerseys when they check in at Kasarani.

The game will kick-off at 4.00pm.
