Indonesia's Stefano Lilipaly has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's 4-0 win over Chinese Taipei in the Asian Games.
The star of the show was their 28-year-old midfielder Stefano Lilipaly, who scored two goals and recorded an assist. He was also named Goal's Asian Player of the Week.
Lilipaly got Indonesia's account off the mark with a header from Febri Hariyadi's freekick in the 66th minute, finally breaking the Chinese Taipei resistance.
Then, he laid on a goal for Beti Goncalves. Five minutes later, he added another goal, making the score 3-0. He was absolutely influential in the game.
Also in the fray for the honour was Bali United's Melvin Platje and PSMS' Reinaldo Lobo, who were also impressive in their side's wins.
But the fans made their voice count as Lilipaly received a whopping majority of the votes.
