Ex-Gor Mahia midfielder on his way to Nakumatt

Nakumatt Secretary General Albert Wesonga has confirmed the development to Goal

Nakumatt FC are close to sealing the services of former Gor Mahia midfielder Erick Ochieng'.

The thirty year old has been playing for Sofapaka, but he has decided to join the promoted side after his contract expired. Club's Secretary General Albert Wesonga says the player has the experience needed to help the team perform in the top tier.

"We have made most of the signings and we feel the team is okay now, but we will bring Erick in the team. We needed a holding midfielder and we feel he has everything to help us do better in the league. Talks are in advanced stage and he will join us this week," he told Goal.

The team is working hard to leave a mark in the top tier after finishing fourth in the Nationwide Super League last season, behind eventual winners Nzoia United, Kariobangi Sharks and Zoo Kericho.
