Everton vs Crystal Palace: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Everton boss Marco Silva will finally have Yerry Mina available for selection when his side face Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Sunday, after the former Barcelona defender missed the opening two months of the season with a foot injury.

Mina hasn't made a competitive appearance since Colombia's last-16 World Cup game against England in Russia in July, whilst Phil Jagielka will also be available in central defence, though Silva will likely stick with Kurt Zouma and Michael Keane from the start against Palace.

Roy Hodgson could be without Wilfried Zaha who faces a late fitness test on the groin injury he sustained on international duty with Nigeria, as Palace look to put distance between themselves and the bottom three after a mixed start to the season.

Everton have endured a mixed start to the new season under Marco Silva after their long wait to secure the services of the Portuguese, but looked to have finally found form ahead of the international break with back-to-back wins against Fulham and Leicester.

The victory against the Cottagers, in which Gylfi Sigurdsson continued his fine start to the season with two goals, was the Toffees' first since August 18, and Silva will likely be eager to incorporate new boys Mina and Gomes into his side following their high-profile moves from Barcelona if the club are to move into the top half of the table and make good on their touted potential.

"For me as a coach and for all of us, it's better when you have all the players available to play and to work here with strong competition between them," said Silva.

"Everything looks different now, we hope we continue in this way because they're getting fit, the competition is getting harder for them and it's important for us.

"We are looking more a team now, more compact, more solid in some moments, we keep focus for more minutes during the match."

Crystal Palace are closer to the Premier League's bottom three than manager Roy Hodgson would have hoped for at this stage of the season. Palace have won just once since the opening day and have fallen to 14th after collecting just one point from three games.

Hodgson will be eager for Zaha to overcome the injury he picked up on international duty with Ivory Coast, especially with Christian Benteke likely to be missing untill the new year with a knee injury. Joel Ward and Jonny Williams are both out, while Max Meyer and Alexander Sorloth are unlikely to be available as they recover from illness.

"It's good news that he [Zaha] is close enough to be assessed to see if he'll be fit enough to play, but you're taking into areas of sports science and medicine that I'm not comfortable talking about," said Hodgson.

"My information is that he hasn't trained with us since the injury but they're hoping he'll be able to train tomorrow and if he does, I guess he'll be available to play."
