Eintracht Frankfurt's Boateng calls for support ahead of German Cup final vs. Bayern Munich

The Eagles will lock horns with the reigning Bundesliga champions as they target their fifth cup honour

Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has called on the fans' support when they confront Bayern Munich in the German Cup on Saturday.

Niko Kovac's side will be hoping to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Schalke 04 last Saturday when they visit the Olympiastadion for a date with Jupp Heynckes' men.

Following their 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in last year's final, the Commerzbank-Arena outfit have another shot to clinch a first cup title sine since 1988.

And the Berlin-born midfielder is fired up to win his first trophy in Germany after Frankfurt ended the season placed eighth in the German top-flight.

“Thank you Eintracht fans for an amazing year! Your support made us work harder, now let’s go to Berlin and bring back that cup. For us, for you and for the city,” Boateng wrote on Instagram.
