The Kenyan champions have lost five matches in all competitions after players staged a go slow to demand for their unpaid dues

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has challenged his players to repay their fans with a win when they face Mathare United on Sunday.

The Kenyan champions have lost five matches in all competitions and the Briton coach is now demanding for a good show against the ‘Slum Boys’ on the day the team will be coroneted at Kisumu Stadium.

“We owe the fans a big win and that is what I want my players to produce against Mathare United. We have denied them a smile for a long time now but I am confident that on Sunday, they will be happy again.”

Kerr has also admitted that he was left smiling at the end of a training session on Friday. “We finally had a good and meaningful training session, for the first time in three months. It was a great atmosphere, amazing energy, enthusiastic and a hard working training session because everyone was committed.

“It reminded me of our previous training sessions because the laughter and enjoyment was back in the team, which is what we have missed for the past few weeks,” Kerr told Goal in an interview.

Gor Mahia will receive their 17th league title after the match..
