Gor Mahia picked a point against Rayon Sports in the opening Group D match two weeks ago

Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr says he is delighted with his players despite dropping two points at home in a Can Confederation Cup match against USM Alger on Wednesday.

The sides played to a barren draw in a soggy Kasarani Stadium, despite creating decent scoring opportunities.

The tactician is impressed with the way his side performed even after the home side was reduced to 10 men after Joash Onyango was given his marching order.

"I am delighted with my players, it was a good match and the good thing is that we kept a clean sheet and got a point as well, although we wanted more. The pitch made it a little harder for us, and USM as well but the outcome was not bad.

"My players keep on giving their best, they are improving and that is the most encouraging thing."
