Ulinzi Stars head coach Dunstan Nyaudo is impressed with the way his charges played against Gor Mahia on Wednesday.
A brace from Elvis Nandwa was all that the soldiers needed to hit the fifty-point mark and a possible top three finish by the end of the season. With the FKF Shield Cup semis coming this weekend, Nyaudo says that is enough motivation for his team.
“All I can say is that we needed this win badly to propel us to the semis of the Shield on Sunday. Yes, I rested some of my key players because of that game against Kariobangi Sharks, it is our only hope of representing the nation in the continentals next year.
“We need to work harder as a unit and ensure we take our chances as they come considering it is a knock-out competition,” Nyaudo told Goal.
The other semi-final game will be between Sofapaka and defending champions AFC Leopards.
