Oduor has only scored four goals this season, a far cry from the 11 he netted last season
Chrispin Oduor is confident that Mathare United can complete a double against Nakumatt and bridge the five-point gap with the top four.

The 'Slum Boys' will take on Nakumatt in a league match at the Camp Toyoyo with high expectations of breaking into the top four should they pick maximum point against the side they beat 3-2 in the first leg.

Mathare United finally ended their eight-match winless run thanks to a slim victory against Kariobangi Sharks and Oduor is praying that the misfiring Francis Kimanzi side will carry the luck into the next game.

“We are ready to fight for the three points. They (Nakumatt) are a good side but if we keep working like we’ve done in recent matches then we will certainly get a good result,” Oduor told mathareunitedfc.co.ke

Though Oduor has only scored four goals this season, a far cry from the 11 he netted last season, the forward has significantly contributed to Mathare’s 38 goals so far, including the last outing where he netted one in a 2-1 victory over Sharks.

“Scoring in our last match certainly improved my confidence and I am heading into this one with renewed vigour. Hopefully, I'll score.”

Mathare United are sixth on the log jointly on points (38) with Ulinzi Stars, who have a super goal difference.
