Betting Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs Watford: Can the Hornets capitalise on the Lilywhites misfortune?

With Mauricio Pochettino missing a number of key players, it could be a chance for the men from Hertfordshire to cause an upset

Watford travel to London on Wednesday night in the Premier League as they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

The Lilywhites come into this clash after suffering a 2-0 defeat in the hands of fellow London side Crystal Palace in the fourth round of the FA Cup at the weekend.

They might be quoted at (1.66) as per Bet365 to win, but they’ll have to do without top men Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli and Ben Davies who are all sidelined by injury and national team commitments.

For Javi Garcia’s side, they were 2-0 victors at Newcastle United in the FA Cup. They also defeated Spurs 2-1 in the reverse fixture last September.

Watford have never done a league double over Tottenham before but bearing in mind the North London side’s current predicament, the Hornets are priced at big odds of (5.75) with the same firm to shock the Wembley crowd.

This clash never ended in stalemate when Spurs were hosts. A maiden one can’t be written off, which is available at (4.00).
