The Blues coach slammed his striker after fluffing several opportunities in their stalemate with Elmina Sharks

Berekum Chelsea coach Svetislav Tanasijevic has hit out at his striker Stephen Amankonah following their 1-1 stalemate against Elmina Sharks in Ghana Premier League matchday three outstanding game on Sunday.

Although, the youngster scored the opener, he missed several opportunities afterwards before Felix Addo pulled level for the hosts.

"I'm very angry because my players missed several opportunities especially Stephen Amankonah. He gave us the first goal but was too selfish at a point and that cost us," Tanasijevic said.

"We could've won by a wide margin especially after our opponents had two red cards in the second-half but my players let me down. I'm not happy with our performance today and I know the travelling supporters wouldn't love it too," he added.

Tanasijevic also admitted that their three stadium ban have had a toll on his side's performance.

"We've played almost eight matches away from home after 12 games, including the sanctions and mandatory games which were moved because of the supporters’ troubles. If you're to be honest, you'll admit that our performances haven't been the best.

"We've dropped several points but I'm happy the ban is over and will play Medeama at Golden City Park in our next home game. Nobody leaves our home grounds with three points and only fortunate clubs get one point so we'll definitely survive the relegation scares," he added.

Chelsea currently sit 12th on the log with 13 points.
