Former Arsenal defender Lauren has highlighted Unai Emery’s decision at half-time as the key factor that helped the Gunners to a 4-2 win over Tottenham in Sunday’s North London derby.

With the Gunners trailing 2-1 after Eric Dier and Harry Kane cancelled out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s opener, the 47-year-old resorted to making two key changes before the start of the second half.

Aaron Ramsey and Alexandre Lacazette were brought in for Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan respectively as the hosts fought back to a 4-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

Moments after their introduction, Aubameyang bagged his brace in the encounter with an assist from Ramsey in the 56th minute followed by Lacazette’s effort in the 74th minute before Lucas Torreira sealed the maximum points with his first Arsenal goal three minutes later.

And the former Cameroon defender who was a key member of the Invincibles has explained how the gaffer’s decisions changed the game for the Gunners who are yet to lose a Premier League game since the back-to-back losses to Chelsea and Manchester City in August.

“A tactical masterstroke from Emery with his substitutions at 2-1 down. Introducing Ramsey and Lacazette pulled the Tottenham defenders out wide,” Lauren tweeted.

“This left spaces to be exploited by players arriving late into the box, as seen with Aubameyang & Torreira's goals."
