The 37-year-old will join the Durban-based side ahead of the 2018/19 Premier Soccer League campaign

Bidvest Wits have parted ways with experienced goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs as he joins AmaZulu.

The move from the Clever Boys has been confirmed by Usuthu’s General manager Lunga Sokhela as they look to bolster their goalkeeping department ahead of the new season.

Josephs has not played regiular football for the 2016/17 Premier Soccer League (PSL) champions as he has deputised for Bafana Bafana international Darren Keet for most of the season.

“We’ve bought Moeneeb from Wits. Next season he will be playing his football here at AmaZulu. We are excited to sign a player of his calibre,” Sokhela explained to IOL.

However, the former Cape Town Spurs keeper is set to fight for the No.1 jersey with the likes of Siyabonga Mbatha and Energy Murambadoro under coach Cavin Johnson’s guidance.

On the other hand, the club is reportedly set to release Boalefa Pule, who is on loan from SuperSport United.

The 37-year-old Josephs has also played for Orlando Pirates making 22 appearances for the 1996 African champions’.
