Ingwe needed a late goal from Ezekiel Odera to toss out minnows Mwatate United and advance to the quarters of FKF Shield

AFC Leopards needed a last minute goal by Ezekiel Odera to eliminate the hardworking Mwatate United side in an entertaining Shield Cup match on Wednesday.

Argentine head coach Rodolfo Zapata has congratulated his players for the effort put and believes the team will go all the way. “It was not an easy match, we had to fight and get something from them though it had initially looked like a walk in the park for us.

“In Kenya there is no an easy team, all are hard to play against, it is always competitive and surprises are inevitable. I believe we are the best team in the country and it is just a matter of time before we show that to the whole world,” Zapata told Goal.

AFC Leopards will now face Kenya Police in the quarter-finals.
