Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe has signed a season-long loan deal with Championship outfit Bolton, according to The Daily Mirror.

The 19-year-old, who is yet to make a competitive senior appearance for the Gunners, is set for his third temporay spell away from north London following previous stints with Huddersfield and Reading.

Reports suggest that the London-born forward, who is of Congolese descent, turned down offers from six other clubs to join the Lancashire side.

The former England Under-19 international becomes the third Arsenal starlet to join Owen Coyle's men on loan after successful spells for Jack Wilshere and Ryo Miyaichi in recent seasons.

Afobe will be hoping to fire the Trotters back into the Premier League following their relegation to the second tier on the final day of last season.
