Hong Myung-Bo: Strong Brazil too much for South Korea

The Taegeuk Warriors coach lamented his side's inability to hit the Selecao on the counter, but conceded Luiz Felipe Scolari's side left his men unable to play their own game
South Korea coach Hong Myung-Bo has expressed his disappointment after his side went down 2-0 to Brazil at the World Cup Stadium in Seoul on Saturday.
The Gillette Brasil Global Tour clash drew a record crowd of 65,308 as goals from Neymar and Oscar either side of half-time gave the Selecao their third straight victory.

And Hong lamented the fact that his side couldn’t give the home crowd something more to shout about.

“I'm sorry we could not reward the crowd who filled the stadium with a victory,” he said.

“It's disappointing to concede and not to score, but our performance was not bad. The second goal was our mistake but we can learn from that.

"We were not quick enough on the counter, but Brazil are a very strong team so we were unable to play as we would have liked.”

Brazil continue their world tour with against Zambia in Beijing on Tuesday.
