Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has admitted that he is being plagued by physical problems, but is playing through the pain barrier to help out a first team that is already lacking fit defenders.
Fellow los Blancos full-backs Marcelo and Fabio Coentrao are still unavailable due to injury, while Alvaro Arbeloa only recently returned to match action again after a spell on the sidelines.
Therefore, Ramos insists he has opted to play on despite a muscle injury as he does not want to let his Santiago Bernabeu team-mates down.
"It's true that I don't feel 100 per cent, and that I'm not fully fit because of muscular problems," Sergio Ramos was quoted as saying by Marca.
"Now isn't the time to stop though, because we have injuries to key players in defence. We have to be there as a team."
The 26-year-old has made 15 official appearances for Madrid this term.
