Van Bommel gives PSV an 'invincible attitude', says Advocaat

The experienced midfielder left AC Milan for the Eredivisie giants this summer, and his new coach has nothing but praise for the former Netherlands international
Dick Advocaat has hailed the influence of Mark van Bommel at PSV, as he feels the midfielder gives them an aura of invincibility.

The holding midfielder returned to the Eredivisie giants this summer after leaving AC Milan on a Bosman free transfer, and the former Russia boss believes the 35-year-old offers invaluable experience to his young team.

"Van Bommel is very important for this team as he gives them a kind of invincible attitude," Advocaat was quoted as saying on the official Uefa website.

"We are going for the league title, there can be no doubt about that. We have an eager squad and everyone wants to work together for success."

Van Bommel helped PSV to the Dutch Supercup on Sunday in his first official game since his return to the Philips Stadion, as they beat league champions Ajax 4-2.

PSV are currently preparing for their Eredivisie opener away to RKC on Saturday.
