Commentary

FULL TIME - Macarthur Bulls have impressed on debut and they have defeated the Western Sydney Wanderers 1-0 thanks to Mark Milligan's goal and Adam Federici's heroics in goal. The New Kids on the A-League Block have turned up and shown that they are not in the A-League to make up the numbers. 
90' + 4' Troisi floats in the free kick but Derbyshire clears it. The ball comes back in but the Macarthur defence clear again and that's full time.

HALF TIME - All good things must come to an end and that first half was exactly that. It had everything except for a goal in a highly entertaining contest. It's 0-0 at half-time and we can't wait for more of this contest. We will be back for the second half shortly. 
45' + 2' Najjar with a teasing ball towards Rose but Margush just manages to get there in time to cut it off.

45' Russell is a speedy customer and he gets past one before squaring it up for Cox who forces a magnificent save from Federici with the ball out for a corner. 
44' Russell darts in between two defenders and makes room for the shot in the box but he sends it straight at Federici. 
43' Baccus gets into the box but he can't get past the four defenders lined up to take the ball away from him. 
41' Rose sends the cross to find Najjar but he heads it wide. A golden opportunity there that went begging.

It's been a busy off season for Western Sydney with a new coach in Carl Robinson and new players such as James Troisi and Bernie Ibini. 
Macarthur FC are the A-League's newest kid on the block and they've assembled a fine squad with a blend of experience and youth headed by captain Mark Milligan.
