Tottenham live to fight another day while PSV’s Champions League elimination is all but confirmed. Zoet was resilient for the visitors for much of the game, typified by his battle-scarred face at the final whistle, but he couldn’t stop a late Tottenham onslaught. Kane lashed home his 12th goal in 14 competition appearances to cancel out De Jong’s second-minute opener, before the striker headed the winner off Sainsbury for a vital three points. Spurs had plenty of opportunities to draw level through Eriksen and Alli, with mazy runs from Lucas mixed in, but Zoet was equal to everything between the sticks. Kane has been marked tightly and limited to half-chances for the home side.
