That's all from the Generali Arena. Thank you for following the LIVE action from the UEFA Europa League - hope you've enjoyed it. Until next time, have a very good evening!
Cedric Bakambu scored twice as Villarreal secured a comfortable passage into the Last Four of the Europa League. Bruno and Trigueros were also on target for the Yellow Submarine, while Borek Dockal and Ladislav Krejci scored what proved to be consolations for Sparta Prague.
FULL-TIME: SPARTA PRAGUE 2-4 VILLARREAL - Villarreal win 6-3 on aggregate.
There goes the final whistle and Villarreal advance to the Semi-Finals!
D. Lafata
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
A frustrating night for Lafata has just been capped by him receiving a yellow card.
The fourth official holds up his board to indicate that there will be three minutes of stoppage time at the end of this game.
Credit must be given to Sparta. They have had a go this evening in search of a way back into the contest, but it has all just come a little too late.
GREAT SAVE! Kovac's effort from distance takes a huge deflection that sends the ball looping towards goal, but Areola shows good reflexes to scramble back and tip it over the bar.
Villarreal have been beaten by the eventual champions in each of their two previous appearances in the Semi-Finals of this competition. Barring a miraculous Sparta comeback, they will be hoping to make it third time lucky this time around.
CHANCE! The ball is fizzed into the box from the right hand side by Konate. Lafata tries to shoot on the volley, but does not connect properly and drags it wide of the target.
Castellijo was the most-fouled player in the competition coming into this match and, with his quick feet and unpredictability, it is not hard to see why he is.
Samu Castillejo
Yellow Card
Villarreal
Castillejo was also booked for his protest after the foul.
T. Konaté
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
Prior to this game, Sparta had received the most yellow cards in this competition. Konaté is the latest player to be shown one after fouling Castellijo.
SO CLOSE! More neat build-up play from the hosts sees the ball drop for Matejovsky on the edge of the area. He aims to sweep his effort into the far corner, but sees it drift just wide of the post.
There is real sense of belief echoing around the Generali Arena. Sparta still have a mountain to climb, but the fans remain optimistic that the comeback can be completed.
L. Krejčí
Goal
Sparta Praha
COULD IT HAPPEN?! Sparta pull another goal back! A neat build-up sees the ball driven across the face of goal, with Krejčí providing the finishing touch at the far post.
Has Soldado got away with one? Frydek goes down following an aerial challenge with the Villarreal striker, but the referee does not reach for a second yellow card on this occasion.
Léo Baptistão
Denis Suárez
Villarreal
Villarreal's final change of the night sees Suárez replaced by Leo Baptistão.
K. Fatai
Assist
Sparta Praha
Fatai provided a neat lay-off for Dockal to strike.
B. Dočkal
Goal
Sparta Praha
SPARTA HAVE A CONSOLATION!!! Dočkal puts the hosts on the scoresheet, as he drills the ball brilliantly beyond the reach of Areola.
R. Kováč
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
Kováč is the next player to have his name taken.
J. dos Santos
Trigueros
Villarreal
Villarreal make their second change with Trigueros making way for Jonathan dos Santos.
L. Juliš
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
Juliš is shown a yellow card by Mr Atkinson.
As we hit the hour-mark, Villarreal are cruising towards the Last Four of the Europa League. They have a five-goal aggregate advantage over Sparta and are sending out a clear message to the rest of the competition.
Jaume Costa
Mario Gaspar
Villarreal
Villarreal make the first substitution of the evening, as Gaspar comes off to be replaced by Jaume Costa.
Sparta have had their fair share of chances in this game, but really have lacked that clinical edge in the final third. They have been punished in the worst possible way by their opponents.
Julis is the next player to see a chance go begging for the hosts. He tries to glance the ball on with his head, but sees his looping effort drift just over the crossbar.
CHANCE! It has just been one of those nights for Sparta. They are awarded a corner and Lafata is unmarked in the area, but unable to keep his header down.
Bakambu is now the joint-top scorer in this season's Europa League with nine goals. His finishing prowess will provide Villarreal with a very dangerous weapon in their search for a maiden European crown.
Denis Suárez
Assist
Villarreal
Suarez's cross found Bakambu in acres of space inside the area.
C. Bakambu
Goal
Villarreal
BAKAMBU GETS HIS SECOND!!! That is 11 goals in his last 10 games. The striker is unmarked in the area to control Suarez's cross, before calmly slotting past Bicik.
Just like the first half, Villarreal have began brightly in the second. They are keen to push for more goals despite already having a very healthy lead.
KICK-OFF! The referee blows his whistle and Villarreal get the ball rolling once again.
The players are back out on the field and the second half is imminent.
Two goals in the last four minutes of the first half appear to have put the tie beyond Sparta and sealed Villarreal's passage into the Semi-Finals. It would take something special for the hosts to turn this around, but anything is possible.
HALF-TIME: SPARTA 0-3 VILLARREAL
The referee swiftly blows his whistle and brings the first half to an end.
D. Lafata
Own Goal
Sparta Praha
GAME OVER!!! Two goals in the space of three minutes have put the tie beyond Sparta. Castellijo turns provider as his corner is met by Bruno, who directs the ball brilliantly into the far corner with his head.
Denis Suárez
Assist
Villarreal
Suárez's cross caused confusion in the Sparta area before Castellijo struck home.
Samu Castillejo
Goal
Villarreal
CASTELLIJO MAKES IT TWO!!! That could have secured Villarreal's passage into the Semi-Finals. Sparta fail to deal with Suarez's ball into the box as it is only cleared as far as Castellijo, who unleashes a sweet strike beyond the reach of Bicik.
M. Frýdek
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
Frýdek is the next player to go into the referee's notebook this evening.
WHAT A CHANCE! Sparta should be level on the night! Krejci is unmarked as he ghosts into the area, but can only direct a square ball wide of the target.
Sparta continue to push in search of a way back into this tie. A long ball into the box is directed towards goal, but Areola shows good reflexes to push it away to safety.
Incidentally, tonight's referee is Martin Atkinson. He regularly officiates in the English Premier League, while he also took charge of last season's Europa League final.
Soldado
Yellow Card
Villarreal
Soldado is booked after getting into a tangle during that corner.
Villarreal are pushing for a second goal of the night. They are whiskers from making the vital connection with a free-kick, before the subsequent corner is collected by Bicik.
Sparta are aiming for their first ever Semi-Final in this competition. It is their second appearance in the Last Eight, with the other coming in the 1983/84 season. Scasny played in both legs that year as the Czech side came up short against Hadjuk Split.
As we hit the half-hour mark, Villarreal still have a two-goal cushion over Sparta Prague. The hosts are searching for a way back into the tie, but need to be more creative in the final third.
L. Krejčí
Yellow Card
Sparta Praha
Krejčí is the first player to have his name taken by Mr Atkinson this evening.
The visitors have won just one of their last nine away games, but have never tasted defeat against a team from the Czech Republic. They will be keen to extend the latter statistic this evening.
Villarreal are starting to gain more of a foothold in possession. Since taking the lead, they have had to withstand a great deal of pressure from Sparta. They are enjoying more possession now, though.
Interestingly, Dockal has provided the most assists in this season's competition with five. His creativity could be instrumental if Sparta are to turn this around.
END-TO-END STUFF! Soldado blazes a great opportunity over for Villarreal at one end while, at the other, Areola produces strong hands to deny Dockal's fierce low effort.
Sparta have scored in all 15 of their matches in the Europa League this season. If Zdenek Scasny's men can continue to apply the pressure, they will fancy their chances of continuing that run. More importantly, they will be out if they don't!
CHANCE! The ball falls kindly for Krejci in the box after more impressive build-up play by Sparta, but he drags his effort wide of the far post.
Can Villarreal weather the storm? The Czech side are dominating possession and have the Spaniards pegged back inside their own half.
Sparta are knocking on the door at the moment. Krejci lets fly inside the area with a fierce low effort, but Areola holds on to his effort.
The hosts continue to apply pressure on their opponents. Dockal has a go from distance but his effort is always rising.
Sparta look to respond immediately as they send men into the Villarreal penalty area. However, the visitors can relax as a deep cross into the box is flagged offside.
Bakambu now has a hat-trick over the two legs. That was his eighth goal of the tournament and only Athletic Bilbao's Aritz Aduriz has scored more.
Trigueros
Assist
Villarreal
Trigueros provided a neat through ball for Bakambu to run onto.
C. Bakambu
Goal
Villarreal
NO MISTAKE THIS TIME - VILLARREAL LEAD!!! Bakambu races onto Trigueros' through ball and gets his body in front of Marecek, before calmly sliding past Bicik.
CHANCE! Dockal plays a stray pass that is pounced upon by Bakambu. The striker is unable to take advantage, however, as he pokes his shot wide of the target.
Villarreal have made a positive start to this game. The Spanish side have made it clear that they will not be resting on their laurels this evening, as they enjoy most of the early play.
KICK-OFF! Referee Martin Atkinson blows his whistle and Sparta get the match underway.
HERE THEY COME! The players are making their way out onto the field and kick-off is just moments away.
VILLARREAL SUBS: Asenjo, Samu, Dos Santos, Baptistao, Costa, Adrian, Iniguez.
VILLARREAL (4-4-2): Areola; Gaspar, Bailly, Victor Ruiz, Rukavina; Suarez, Trigueros, Bruno, Castillejo; Soldado, Bakambu.
Villarreal make just two alterations to the starting 11 from the first leg. Alphonse Areolta starts in goal and Antonio Rukavina comes in at left-back, as Sergio Asenjo and Jaume Costa drop to the bench.
SPARTA SUBS: Miller, Vacha, Matousek, Kadlec, Brezina, Kostl, Sacek.
SPARTA (4-4-2): Bicik; Konate, Marecek, Kovac, Frydek; Fatai, Matejovsky, Dockal, Krejci; Lafata, Julis.
Sparta are without all three defenders from the first leg with Jakub Brabec and Costa Nhamoinesu suspended and Mario Holek injured. Radoslav Kovac comes into a makeshift back four, while Kehinde Fatai and top scorer David Lafata are the other changes to the starting 11 from last Thursday.
Villarreal hold a 2-1 advantage following Cedric Bakambu's double in the first leg at El Madrigal last week. They will progress to the Semi-Finals if they avoid defeat this evening. A 1-0 victory would do the trick for Sparta, otherwise they must win by two clear goals.
Good evening and welcome to LIVE text commentary of the UEFA Europa League. We're at the Generali Arena this evening for the Quarter-Final Second Leg between Sparta Prague and Villarreal.
