Commentary

FULL TIME - It's all over and it's the Very, Very, Late Show here at nib Stadium with Perth Glory defeating the Central Coast Mariners 3-2 thanks to a 95th minute winner scored by Chris Ikonomidis. Perth Glory have started the season with four wins and a draw and are four points clear on top of the Hyundai A-League ladder.

90' + 5' GOAL GLORY - Kilkenny crosses to Keogh who attempts the bicycle kick and misses. The ball comes out the back to Ikonomidis and he rattles the back of the net to score his second goal. More importantly he puts Perth Glory 3-2 in front!
90' + 4' Perth with a late corner but the Mariners defence are covering the ground and at least hoping to settle for one point.

HALF TIME - Perth scored early and were seemingly cruising until Mrcela turned it into his own net. That sets up the half-time scoreline of 1-1.

36' OWN GOAL GLORY - The Mariners have equalised against the run of play! The ball is crossed into the box by Melling looking for McCormack. Mrcela who knew McCormack was behind stuck his leg at the ball and that left Reddy stranded! It's 1-1. 
35' Pain drifts into the box after Millar's fine ball but his shot is charged down by Reddy. Now that would definitely have been against the run of play. 
35' Possession in the last ten minutes has been 75% to the Glory. 
32' How Glory hasn't scored a second goal is anyone's guess because they are terrorising the Mariners defence. 
30' Kilkenny delivers to the near post but it's dealt with.

28' Perth Glory continue to attack the Mariners defence who continue to be under enormous pressure. 
25' Ikonomidis looks for Keogh in the box but it is deflected out for a corner. The Mariners defence are working overtime here and are just able to clear the danger.
24' Hoole goes with the toe poke from a tight angle but Reddy has it covered. 
23' The cross into the box by Franjic finds Chianese but his header is off target. 
20' Tony Popovic is very vocal from his vantage point on the sideline. 
18' Chianese is once again behind the defence but once again he is offside.
17' The Mariners have the corner but it is easily cleared by the Glory defence who quickly launch a subsequent counter attack, but it all comes to nothing eventually.

14' YELLOW CARD - Keogh is shown the yellow card for his challenge from behind on O'Neill. The card looked like a harsh call given Keogh got more of the ball.

12' GOAL GLORY - Kilkenny wins back possession and he unleashes a beautiful pass off to Chianese who lays it across to Ikonomidis who then tucks it away past Kennedy to put Perth Glory 1-0 ahead.

11' YELLOW CARD - Melling slides into the back of Ikonomidis and is immediately shown the yellow card. 
10' Perth are beginning to get their grip on this game as we approach the ten minute mark. 
7' The ball is played long with Millar drifting forward, but the ball gets away from him. 
5' Kennedy looks to be okay and he is back up on his feet. 
4' Chianese gets in behind the defence with the offside flag coming up late. As all this happens Chianese collects Kennedy's face with his boot and he will need time to receive treatment.
