Willian opened the scoring from the penalty spot after the visitors had seen a spot-kick of their own overturned by VAR. The Blues extended their advantage in the second half when Callum Hudson-Odoi controlled well before finishing past Keiren Westwood. Willian notched his second to kill off the contest in the dying stages, curling his strike into the bottom corner. The Owls did not provide a great deal of resistance to the holders, who march on in the defence of their crown.

78' Hudson-Odoi and Willian combine with a neat one-two, but Bannan performs a perfect sliding challenge to break up the attack before the winger can fire at goal from the right inside channel.
77' Chelsea are coasting at the moment and have barely had to break out of first gear in the contest. Sarri will be satisfied with his team's performance in the second period.
Lucas João
S. Fletcher
Sheffield Wednesday
76' Fletcher has worked hard without a great deal of support. The Scot is withdrawn for Joao.

G. Boyd
Sheffield Wednesday
75' Nuhiu comes on to the pitch to replace Boyd.
74' Christensen's assist for Hudson-Odoi's goal was his first for Chelsea.
72' Wednesday have offered nothing in the second half to suggest that they are capable of mounting a late comeback. It has been a tepid effort throughout the contest from the Owls.
70' Palmer sends a searching ball over the top for Fletcher, although Rudiger watches the flight of the pass and nods it back to Caballero.
F. Forestieri

A simple ball over the top from Christensen found Hudson-Odoi in space in the right inside channel. The Wednesday keeper should have done better, but the strike was too powerful for him to keep out.

46' We're back underway at Stamford Bridge.
Maurizio Sarri will be slightly concerned over his side's inability to break down the visitors. Sam Hutchinson's reckless challenge on Cesar Azpilicueta resulted in the spot-kick, but other than that Chelsea have been poor in the final third. Sarri will be hopeful of seeing more involvement from Gonzalo Higuain in the second half to put the tie to bed this evening.
Chelsea hold a 1-0 lead at the break over Sheffield Wednesday in this fourth round FA Cup tie at Stamford Bridge. The first half centered around two penalties - one that was overturned by VAR for the visitors, while the other was converted by Willian for the Blues. There has been very little action in the final third other than those moments. Steve Agnew will be pleased with his side's resilience and the longer the deficit remains only one goal, the Owls have hope of forcing a replay.

34' Wednesday are able to clear the danger, but Chelsea are in rhythm now and are moving the ball with speed around the visitors' half of the pitch.
33' Fox is late on Hudson-Odoi in a challenge down the right flank, handing Chelsea a free-kick in a threatening position. Willian stands over the ball.
31' The Owls have been knocked out of their gameplan since conceding the penalty. It was a mad couple of minutes with the two penalty decisions, which saw the visitors lose their composure. They have to remain focused to avoid conceding a second before the break.
29' Willian has six goals in his last seven home FA Cup appearances.
28' Willian swings a dangerous ball into the box for the blue shirts to attack. It misses Rudiger, but Christensen heads the ball back into the six-yard box. Westwood eases the pressure on his defenders by making a claim through a crowd of bodies.

22' PENALTY TO SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY! Pelupessy is played through the Chelsea defence and goes down under Ampadu's challenge. The referee points to the spot, but the decision will be reviewed by VAR.
21' Azpilicueta has space on the right and he sends a low cross into the box. However, there are no blue shirts attacking the ball and Westwood has a simple claim.
19' BLOCK! Kovacic releases Higuain in the right inside channel and he takes a touch before firing at goal, but Lees tracks his run to make a vital block in front of Westwood.
17' Wednesday appear to be comfortable to sit back in their shape and force Chelsea to break them down. The Blues have had no answers yet.
15' WIDE! Ampadu lines up a strike from 25 yards after being afforded space and time by the Owls' defence. The midfielder's drive is poor and drifts well wide of the post.

3' Hudson-Odoi finds space down the right flank and he clips the ball into the box, but there are enough Wednesday defenders back to clear the danger.
2' Reach makes a surge into the Chelsea box in the left inside channel and he fires towards goal. Christensen is back to make the block to take the pace off the strike, allowing Caballero to gather.
1' We're underway at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have made eight changes to their side from the team that beat Tottenham on penalties on Thursday. Higuain comes straight into the fold to lead the line following his move to the club.
