Commentary

That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
This victory moves Leicester up to second in the table and hands them their first win in three games. Meanwhile Brighton are in a battle at the bottom, as they remain just three points above the relegation zone. Leicester will welcome Sheffield United to the King Power next weekend, whilst Brighton travel to Southampton.
Leicester nick all three points late on with a 2-1 victory over Brighton, thanks to a goal from Amartey on 87 minutes. The hosts took the lead early on through Lallana, but Iheanacho levelled the scoreline with a cool finish just past the hour mark. Lallana then had another chance to score, but he was superbly denied by Schmeichel and it came back to haunt Brighton, as Amartey took advantage of a mistake by Sanchez to head home.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: BRIGHTON 1-2 LEICESTER
90' + 2' Almost! Burn is so close to getting his head onto the end of a pass across goal and turning it in at the far post. However, he just can't quite reach it and the ball goes out of play.
H. Choudhury
K. Iheanacho
90' + 1' Third and final Leicester substitution with Iheanacho coming off and he has been replaced by Choudhury.
A. Jahanbakhsh
Y. Bissouma
90' + 1' Another Brighton change now, with Bissouma the man coming off and he has been replaced by Jahanbakhsh.
90' There will be a minimum of four minutes added time played at the end of the second half.
88' Huge blow for Brighton, can they bounce back quickly and get a very late equaliser? It will be a tough one to take if this is how it ends.
M. Albrighton
Assist
87' Albrighton hasn't been involved much since coming on, but he delivered a good set piece delivery into the box there, just standing it up in the box, putting it into a dangerous position and Amartey did the rest.
D. Amartey
Goal
87' GOAL! Leicester score to make it 2-1 late on, Amartey with the goal! Albrighton whips a deep corner into the box and Sanchez goes up for the ball, trying to punch it clear, however, he completely misses iy and Amartey just stands there and waits for it to arrive, heading it into the back of an empty net. No Brighton defenders anyway near him and he just turns and heads it home.
86' NO PENALTY! VAR take a look at the penalty decision and it isn't particularly clear who gets the ball first, but the replays do show that Dunk gets a piece of the ball. VAR agree with the decision on the pitch and nothing is given.
86' PENALTY SHOUT! Vardy races through on goal and Dunk dives in and makes the challenge just as Vardy was approaching the byline. The centre-back seems to get a slight touch on the ball, but does also get the legs of the striker, who goes down appealing for a penalty. Nothing is given by the referee, but VAR will take a look.
84' Leicester have faced Brighton without ever losing more than they have any other side in the Premier League (7 – W5 D2).
82' There's not long left to play now, can either side push on and score a winner? There hasn't been many chances, but it is quite open and could go either way.
80' CHANCE! Lallana with a great opportunity to fire Brighton ahead! The hosts counter and catch Leicester out at the back, with Trossard finding Gross to the right and he then squares it to Lallana, who was sprinting into the box and he fired a low shot towards goal. However. Schmeichel did brilliantly to read it and make an excellent save.
D. Welbeck
N. Maupay
79' Another Leicester change now, with Maupay the man coming off and it is a straight swap up front, with Welbeck his replacement.
78' A point for Leicester wouldn't be enough to move them ahead of Manchester United and into second in the Premier League table, but three certainly would and also extend their advantage over Chelsea in fourth.
Y. Tielemans
Yellow Card
76' Tielemans is the first player to be shown a yellow card after his late sliding challenge on Trossard, which catches the legs of the Brighton man as he broke away on the counter. Poor challenge.
74' Brighton seem to be sitting deep and holding out for a point at the moment, as Leicester look very comfortable and seem eager to go on and score a winner. They have an excellent record of scoring late goals.
M. Albrighton
Sidnei Tavares
72' Leicester have now made their first change of the game, with Tavares heading off the pitch and he has been replaced by Albrighton.
70' Gross delivers a good corner into the penalty area, right into the six-yard box and it forces Schmeichel to gather in the air under pressure from Burn and he gets a shove in the back, which he doesn't appreciate.
S. Alzate
A. Mac Allister
68' Brighton make the first substitution of the game, with Mac Allister the man coming off and he has been replaced by Alzate.
66' Iheanacho has scored two goals in his last two Premier League appearances, after scoring just one in his previous 17 in the competition.
64' Leicester look very confident now, you can see that the goal has given them a huge boost and they look keen to push on and score another to take the lead. Brighton have everyone back behind the ball defending.
Y. Tielemans
Assist
62' It looked like Tielemans was going to play it out wide, but he fooled the Brighton defence by looking one way and then passing another, picking out Iheanacho perfectly and the striker equalised.
K. Iheanacho
Goal
62' GOAL! Iheanacho equalises for Leicester, it’s 1-1! Tielemans spots the run of striker and plays a no-look pass in behind Dunk, who can’t quite reach it and the striker is through on goal, he takes a touch in the box and composes himself, before chipping it over Sanchez and into the back of the net. Wonderful pass and finish.
61' A victory for Brighton would give themselves a little bit of breathing space as they'd move six points clear of Fulham. However, they have only won one Premier League game since June at home and there is a lot of football left to play here.
59' Lallana has been excellent for Brighton today, he has been involved in everything in attack for the Seagulls, linking up well with Maupay and the Leicester defence just can't seem to get close enough to him.
57' The game is quite open at the moment, with Brighton trying to catch the visitors out on the counter-attack when they can, as Leicester throw more men forward.
55' Still no sign of any Leicester changes, as they push forward in search of an equaliser, but Brighton are starting to sit deeper and deeper to try and soak up the pressure.
53' CLOSE! Lovely ball through the Brighton defence by Castagne, which feeds Iheanacho and he holds off his defender, before firing a powerful effort towards goal. However, it flies just wide, heading into the side netting.
52' Slow start to the second half so far, with Leicester seeing the majority of the ball, but they aren't getting into the Brighton final third in order to test Sanchez.
50' Brighton have won just 10 home Premier League points this season (P13 W1 D7 L5), with no side collecting fewer this season.
48' Chance! Vardy is released down the left wing and tries to pick out Iheanacho in the penalty area, but Dunk does really well to get across. However, Sanchez has to be alert as it flies towards goal, but the keeper makes a comfortable save.
46' The second half is under way!
Maupay also managed to get the ball into the back of the net, however, his goal was ruled out for offside, after making his run slightly too early. Brighton will be very happy with their first half performance, whilst Leicester need to up their game.
Brighton lead 1-0 at the break thanks to Lallana’s first goal for the club on 10 minutes and the hosts controlled much of the first half and Lallana almost had a second late on, but his header struck the post. Leicester have struggled to get going and much improvement is required to get back into the game, although Tavares did test Sanchez with a superb volley from the edge of the box.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: BRIGHTON 1-0 LEICESTER
45' There will be a minimum of one minute added time played at the end of the first half.
43' GOAL RULED OUT! Maupay has the ball in the back of the net, but it is ruled out for offside! The striker just made his run slightly too early as a ball was flicked through by Lallana and he then raced through and beat Schmeichel. However, the flag went up straight away and rightly so.
42' There’s not long left on the clock before the end of the first half, will we see any more goals before the half-time whistle?
40' OFF THE POST! Almost another for Lallana! Gross whips a free-kick into the penalty area from the right wing and Lallana meets it at the front post and tries to glance it into the bottom left-hand corner of the net. It beats Schmeichel, but just clips the bottom of the post and goes wide, before Leicester clear the danger.
38' The opportunity a few minutes ago by Tavares is by far the best chance we have seen so far, it was an excellent strike by the midfielder on his first start for Leicester.
36' SAVE! Fantastic stop by Sanchez to deny Tavares, who thought he had equalised for Leicester! Vardy cushions down a long over the top by Iheanacho, which sets Tavares up perfectly for the volley from the edge of the box. The ball seems to be heading for the top right-hand corner of the net, however, Sanchez gets across brilliantly and pushes it around the post.
34' All of the action is in the middle of the pitch at the moment, there isn't much action in the final third and both keepers have had a quiet game so far.
32' We’re past the half an hour mark now and it remains Brighton who lead 1-0, thanks to Lallana's strike on 10 minutes. That's the only chance we've seen in front of goal so far, with neither keeper yet to have a save to make.
30' Problem here for Mac Allister and the medical staff are on the pitch after a collision with Iheanacho as the striker strikes the Brighton man in the face with his arm. However, it looks like he should be fine to continue.
28' Vardy and Iheanacho haven't touched the ball much for Leicester so far, as they just haven't been able to get the ball up to them and when they have, the Brighton defence have done well and look pretty comfortable.
26' Leicester have already beaten Brighton twice this season (3-0 in Premier League, 1-0 in FA Cup). The last time they won three games against the same top-flight club in the same season was back in 1962-63, doing so against Ipswich, Leyton Orient and Liverpool.
24' Almost! Trossard does really well down the left wing, he gets to the byline and chips a cross into the box, which is headed back across goal and then Maupay and Lallana try and get on the end of it as it bounces it around dangerously. However, the flag goes up for offside.
22' It is quite scrappy at the moment, they isn't a real flow to the game and Brighton will certainly be the happier of the two sides, with Leicester not yet showing any threat in front of goal.
20' The pace of the game has dropped slightly since the Brighton goal, with the visitors seeing more of the ball and the Seagulls are now the side sitting deep, but they aren't allowing Leicester the ball in their final third.
18' Good defending! Sanchez does well to read a long ball over the top of the Brighton defence by Fofana, and the keeper races out and clears it just ahead of Pereira. The two players collide slightly, but both will be fine to continue.
16' Brighton look a lot more confident so far, especially as they have the early goal, but they need to make sure they don't sit back and just try and defend the lead.
14' Leicester just haven't really got going so far, with Brighton being the far more positive side and then look good value for their lead.
12' The goal is Lallana's first in 32 Premier League games, since netting for Liverpool against Manchester United in October 2019.
N. Maupay
Assist
10' Poor defending from Leicester to lose the ball from a throw in and then allow Maupay to sneak into the final third, use his strength to beat a couple of defenders and then flick it through to Lallana in the box, who did the rest with a fine finish.
A. Lallana
Goal
10' GOAL! Brighton take the lead on 10 minutes! Lallana makes it 1-0! They win the ball back from a Leicester throw and Maupay does brilliantly to hold off the challenge of a couple of Leicester defenders on the edge of the box and he then flicks it through to an unmarked Lallana. The midfielder then fooled Schmeichel, coolly slotting the ball into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.
9' Brighton with the early possession here, but Leicester are pressing high up the pitch and aren't allowing the hosts much time or space in the final third. However, it has been a bright and positive start for the Seagulls.
7' Good move! Gross is fed through on goal and he then races into the box and tries to square it to a teammate in the middle, but Fofana reads it well and makes an excellent block, which turns it behind for a corner.
5' Brighton's turn now to have a set piece opportunity and Dunk manages to get on the end of the ball into the box, but it goes well wide of the Leicester goal.
3' Leicester win the first corner of the game, which Tielemans whips into the penalty area. However, Brighton defend it really well and clear the danger.
2' Good start here by Brighton, they've worked the ball out nicely from the back and have Leicester penned back in their own half early on.
1' We're under way!
The teams are out on the pitch and kick-off is just a few minutes away, stay tuned for all the match action!
