Mounir El Hamdaoui joins Saudi Al Taawon

The 32 year old veteran Moroccan Dutch striker Mounir El Hamdaoui passes Al Taawon Medical

Moroccan Dutch striker Mounir El Hamdaoui reportedly passed medical that was undertaken on him at a specialized hospital in Dubai prior to joining Saudi side Al-Taawon coming from Qatari side Umm Salal and was declared fit to join Al-Taawon training as soon as he arrives in Saudi Arabia.

The seasoned striker who’s 32 now had a diversified career and played in many leagues such as Dutch Ajax and Alkmaar, Italian Fiorentina, Spanish Malaga, and Qatari Umm Salal.

El Hamdaoui starred in the 2008-2009 season when he scored 16 goals in 17 matches for Alkmaar in the first round of the league including 3 hat-tricks.

The veteran striker topped the goal scorer list of the Dutch Eredivisie with 23 goals ahead of Uruguayan superstar Luis Suarez who was with Ajax at the time, thus helping Alkmaar to their second ever Eredivisie title and winning the best player in Holland that year.
