‘Well done lads’ - Yaya Toure praises Manchester City for victory over West Bromwich Albion

Yaya Toure has praised Manchester City following their 3-2 victory over West Bromwich Albion in Saturday’s English Premier League encounter at Hawthorns.

The midfielder was an unused substitute as City edged past Tony Pulis’ side to continue their unbeaten run in all competitions.

Leroy Sane started the party for the visitors when he netted the opening goal of the outing ten minutes after kick-off and Jay Rodriguez equalised three minutes later.

Fernandinho then found the net in the 15th minute before Raheem Sterling scored the third goal for Pep Guardiola’s men. A late goal from Matthew Phillips could do little to hurt the Sky Blues as they secured the maximum points.

Impressed by the thrilling tie, the Cote d'Ivoire international took to the social media to salute the team for their doggedness.

“Well done lads! Come on City” Toure tweeted.
