Wazito defender missing from the squad

Wazito are gearing up for a maiden KPL season with a match against Sony Sugar this weekend

Wazito FC left-back Reuben Onsando may miss the first-half of the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season.

The defender underwent a successful knee surgery last June and was expected to return to action in January, but that is most likely not to happen after Wazito omitted Onsando's name in the final list of the 2018 squad.

Onsando tore the lateral collateral ligaments and sprained the anterior cruciate ligaments that kept him out of the second leg of the National Super League last season.

The defender confirmed that he will have to sit out a little longer:

“I'm still out mate. I'm yet to recover fully,” Onsando confirmed in a tweet.
