Eugine Mukangula scored late on to help Thika United secure maximum points against Wazito in a league match played on Sunday.
Mukangula picked a pass from Shami Kibwana to strike home with only three minutes left on the clock to help Thika United grab their first win since the exit of coach Nicholas Muyoti.
Kasim Mwinyi cleared on his line to deny Wazito top scorer Pistone Mutamba a chance to score after the lanky striker lobbed a ball past on a charging Eliud Emsase in Thika United goal.
Emmanuel Tienan came close once against to give Wazito the opener in the 34th minute, but his header narrowly missed the target.
Wazito had a bad day in office and their appeal for a penalty was turned down by the referee even after Yidah appeared to have had contact with Joachim Omollo inside the box late into the first half.
Emase blocked Samson Ndegwa's shot just moments Mutamba had missed another clear chance from an attempted header, four minutes after the restart.
Kibwana was denied by Odhiambo with a fingertip save after the former raced past a couple of opposing players only to unleash a ferocious shot that was well dealt with by the custodian.
But Mukangula came back with an 87th minute strike after he picked a Shami Kibwana cross to power home the winner.
