Hosts USM Alger are wary of Gor Mahia as both teams prepare to clash in a high stake Caf Confederation Cup last Group D match on Wednesday.

Surprisingly, though, the hosts have also raised concerns with the weather ahead of the do-or-do clash for both sides.

The match is set to kick-off early at 4pm and August being the hottest month in Algeria, the Red and Black defender Redouane Cherifi says that the weather might play a big role in determining the outcome of the match.

“It will be tough to play in the afternoons in August under a blazing Sun,” Cherifi was quoted by competition.dz. “We are expecting a difficult match. We will have to face a tough opponent, but we will do everything possible to win.”

Meanwhile, USM Alger have received a boost following the availability of defender Mohamed Rabie Meftah.

Meftah, who picked an injury away in Tanzania, was doubtful for the match, but has since been given the green light and will be ready to start on Wednesday.
