"Though the opposition was tough we thank God for helping us to overcome them," Olowookere told media.

"If you remember, the best result Sunshine Stars have ever recorded was here in Ijebu Ode. I think our banishment here was a blessing in disguise.

"If you look at the way the boys played - I think is the very great improvement compared to their previous games. It was a heart-warming victory and I'm satisfied with the way the boys’ performance.

"They played strictly to instructions because it is not always easy when a team is down and they are trying to come up. They've lost three games in a row and even at home.

"In the past four to five weeks, this is the first match we are winning. It is a good step to progress.

"I don't have any doubt in mind that we are going to remain in the premiership because every match we are going to play from now is going to be like a cup final. We are going to give a very good account of ourselves.

"The boys should know that they have done very well and they should keep it up. We have just started and there is a lot of things we need to still do.

"We will go back to the drawing board to see the lapses in the game and in the next game everyone will see an improved Sunshine Stars."
