Theo Walcott admits that there is no good time to play Manchester United as Everton prepare to travel to Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho's men have endured a dismal start to the season and sit 10th in the Premier League, having won four, drawn two and lost three of their opening nine games.

A morale-sapping Champions League loss to Juventus on Tuesday added to the Portuguese's woes as they prepare to face the Toffees.

But Walcott insists that a wounded United are just as dangerous as the Red Devils on a good run of form.

"I don't think it's the best time playing Man United at any time, I really don't," Walcott told ESPN. "But we are in good spirits, we are in good form, we're enjoying ourselves.

"It's obviously well documented [United's struggles] but the players they have, it's not going to be an easy game.

"But we know our strengths, we know what to do to obviously keep the fans quiet, that's the most important thing.

"We need to focus on ourselves really, not them. We need to do the stuff that the manager drills into us every day in training and if we do that and if everyone works to the ability we know we can, we have a very good chance."

Everton are currently above United in the table, in eighth, having taken one more point from their opening nine games.

The Toffees beat Crystal Palace 2-0 last time out, while Walcott has scored two goals thus far this season, providing two assists.
