Central Coast Mariners are continuing to target Western Sydney Wanderers players as Alen Stajcic looks to strengthen his squad for next season.
The Covert Agent can reveal Wanderers attacker Nick Fitzgerald has been approached by the Mariners and is eager to return to the club where he began his A-League career.
Fitzgerald, however, has two years to run on his contract in Western Sydney with the Central Coast unwilling to meet his current wage demands.
The 27-year-old has featured just 12 times for the Wanderers this season with his last appearance for the club dating back to January against Melbourne City - the club he was signed from by axed coach Josep Gombau.
Stajcic's raid of the Wanderers has also seen him target four youth team players with Samuel Silvera and Lochlan Constable among those being considered by the Mariners.
These latest developments come after The Covert Agent revealed Western Sydney attacker Abraham Majok has signed a two-year contract with the Central Coast for next season.
The Mariners ended the 2018/19 season with consecutive wooden spoons and are expected to lock in Stajcic as their long-term coach soon.
