Enyimba’s Stephen Chukwude has stated that they are fully focused on the second leg of their Caf Confederation Cup quarter-final tie with Rayon Sports and are aware that they must start on a clean slate in Aba on Sunday.

He disclosed that they have put all form of distractions behind them and are in high spirits expecting the downfall of their Rwandan foes this weekend as they have had unhindered preparations ahead of the tie.

“We do not have any excuse to give because we have had a good preparation leading into the game,” Chukwude told Goal.

“We are fully poised for the game and are aware of all the variables that must take place for us to get to the semi-final. We know that nothing comes on a platter and it is the reason why we had tried our best to pay attention to all the details from our coach.

“I don’t want to talk about any other thing besides this crucial game. The game is very important to us and we have shown his importance in the way we have prepared. Our fans will get to see the best of us on Sunday because we want to make them happy.

“We have been working hard to our scoring acts because we had few chances that we didn’t take during the first leg,” Chukwude continued.

“We also know that we can’t throw caution to the wind and not watch our back as we go I search for goals. We will do whatever we have to do with caution to ensure that our dream does fade away at this stage.”
