Sofapaka coach john Baraza set another title target ahead of season kick off

Sofapaka FC head coach John Baraza is confident his team can claim their second league crown in history next season.

Batoto Ba Mungu won the league in their debut season back in 2009, and since then they have struggled to get past Gor Mahia and Tusker who have dominated the domestic league.

After missing the league in his first attempt as the head coach, the former Kenyan international is confident of a good outing this time around.

"Last season, we started well, lost it at some point and later on posted mixed results. It cost us in the long run because we could not match the likes of Gor Mahia, who were doing well.

"We will make a few changes that will help us challenge for the title. It is all that we need. Once we get it right, there will be nothing that will stop us from claiming the title next season."

Tusker, AFC Leopards, Bandari, Ulinzi and the defending champions Gor Mahia are among the favourites to clinch the crown next campaign.
